Environmental Policy
Our Commitment to the Environment
As part of the St Vincent de Paul Society, SVP Southend Embroidery Services recognises our responsibility to protect the environment and operate sustainably. We are committed to continuous improvement in our environmental performance.
Our Environmental Principles
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We actively minimise waste through careful ordering, reusing packaging materials, and recycling where possible.
Energy Efficiency
We aim to reduce energy consumption through efficient use of equipment and responsible practices in our workshop.
Sustainable Sourcing
We seek to source garments and materials from suppliers who share our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
Efficient Delivery
We consolidate orders where possible to reduce transport emissions and use eco-friendly packaging materials.
Our Practices
- Thread offcuts and fabric waste are collected for recycling or proper disposal
- Digital proofs are sent electronically to reduce paper usage
- We use recycled and recyclable packaging materials where available
- Equipment is maintained regularly to ensure energy efficiency
- Staff are encouraged to adopt environmentally responsible practices
Supporting SVP's Mission
As a charity, the St Vincent de Paul Society works to support those in need. Our environmental efforts align with our mission to create a more just and sustainable world for everyone, particularly those most vulnerable to the effects of climate change and environmental degradation.
