Text Giving Terms & Conditions

Information about donating to the St Vincent de Paul Society via text message.

About Text Giving

The St Vincent de Paul Society offers text giving as a convenient way for supporters to make donations. Text giving allows you to donate directly from your mobile phone, with the amount added to your phone bill or deducted from your pay-as-you-go balance.

How It Works

  1. Text a keyword to the designated number (published in SVP campaigns)
  2. You will receive a confirmation text
  3. The donation amount will be added to your mobile phone bill
  4. 100% of your donation goes to SVP (standard network rates may apply for confirmation texts)

Key Terms

  • Donations are non-refundable once processed
  • You must be the bill payer or have permission from the bill payer to donate
  • You must be 16 years or older to donate via text
  • Your donation will appear on your phone bill or be deducted from your credit
  • The service is provided by a third-party text giving platform

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you through Gift Aid. When you donate via text, you may receive an option to add Gift Aid to your donation.

Data Protection

Any personal data collected through text giving is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.
